Pairs Scramble
1. Both players tee-off (White tees Men,
Red tees Ladies).
2. One ball is selected and a marker placed
next to the ball before it is played. It is then played by the
player whose tee shot is chosen. The other player places his ball
within six inches of the marker ,not nearer the hole. The ball
is placed, not dropped, even in rough, or bunkers, or in a hazard
(should the team elect to hit from a hazard). This applies for
all shots up to the green.
3. On the green, both players putt their
ball from the selected one which is marked. A player must not
putt-out until both players have played from the marker. Should
a player putt out, it shall constitute the team score.
4. On your scorecard enter the two names
which make up your team along with individual current handicaps.
The handicaps will be added together and divided by 5 (i.e. 20%
of combined) to give the team’s handicap.
5. Handicap allowance is maximum 36 for
Men and 40 for Ladies.
6. Each player in the team must have at
least six tee shots taken and marked on the scorecard as the ball
selected for the second shot. The other six tee shots may be taken
from either player.
7. All other Rules of Golf as laid down
by the USGA or R&A, and Local Rules apply.

Four Ball Team Scramble
1. All four players tee-off (White tees
Men, Red tees Ladies).
2. Choose the best ball and place a marker
next to the ball before it is played by the player whose ball
it is. After it is played, the other three players place their
ball within six inches of the marker, not nearer the hole, and
play the shot. (The ball is placed not dropped, even in rough,
or bunkers, or in a hazard should the team elect to hit from a
hazard). This applies for all shots up to the green.
3. On the green, choose the best ball and
mark it. All players (in any order) putt their ball from that
marker. A player must not putt-out until all players have played
from the marker. Should a player putt out, it shall constitute
the team score. If the ball is not holed on the first putt by
one of the Team, then the process is repeated until the ball is
holed out and the score noted.
4. On the scorecard enter the four names
which make up the Team together with individual current handicaps.
The handicaps will be added together and divided by 10 to give
the team’s handicap. 10% of the combined total.
Note: If there are players in the tournament without recognized
Handicaps, the Tournament Director may elect to decide the winning
teams on Gross Scores only.
5. Maximum handicap allowance is 28 for
Men , 36 for Ladies.
6. Each of the four players in the team
must have at least three tee shots taken and marked on the scorecard,
as the best ball chosen for the second shot. The other six tee
shots may be taken from any player.
7. All other Rules of Golf as laid down
by the USGA , R&A and Local Rules, apply.
