...Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks Simon Says..

Well it was a busy week for me at the pub this week getting the Irish Open organized and ready for Friday the 29th September. The pub continued on it’s usual way with me buzzing around looking busy and stressed. A couple of hiccups had occurred with my mainstay coming a bit under the weather, but we got there in the end.

We had 86 players turn up to play at Burapha Golf Course, on courses A & B. the course was in good condition as always even with all the rain over the past few weeks. We had a midday shotgun start with everyone raring to get off. My only concern was the weather on my way to the course the sky look very dark.
( now I am not sure if it was because I had my sunglasses on and a very late night and early morning) but with the luck of the Irish it turned out into the perfect day.

I myself didn’t play so I could get around and get some group photo’s and a few action shots and be back in time to start collecting the card after the game. This as it happened turned out to be a good thing as the first competitors started coming in to the club house in 3 ½ hours instead of my estimated 4- 4 ½ hrs. it was a great round with the last group in a just over 4hrs.

After the golf it was back to Shenanigans for our famous carvery and buffet with a few beers throw in for good measure. While everyone was getting organized Dennis Willett (thanks Dennis) moved into the back room and sorted out the winners. Some good scores came in and a few places were decided on count back so all in all it was a very close competition.
