...Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks Simon Says..

which will be the last one for this year. It always sounds funny when you say that this time of year. Say good bye to a friend “see you next year and they always give you a puzzled look what do you mean I am taking your money again next week on the golf course, but we know we maybe out of pocket today but the smug feeling that you have just got one up on them for taking all your money

throughout the year (including the rugby) settles in to get you through till the fresh start next week.
So we will also have a fresh start with the pub diary next year where we will try and spice it up a bit more than the usual dribble that I drone on with each week.
This week we had the annual Santa Scramble golf tournament at Phoenix golf course.

The format was a pairs scramble playing Lakes and Ocean, with a great turnout of 50 peoplethis year considering I was trying to limit the field to 40, but we all got off without a hitch and the round went very quickly. It was then back to Shenanigans for the presentations and some nibbles to keep everyone going till we got underway with the formalities.

Near pins: Lakes 2, Barry James. Lakes, Neil Mac. Ocean 5, Ian Warwick. Ocean 7, Barry James.

First place Simon Dutton /Phil Taylor. Second place Nick Rieter /Ploy. Third place Mikael Anderson /Arthur Hancock

With the golf out the way it was full steam ahead into our Christmas celebrations. We had a couple of cracking days on Christmas eve and Christmas day with plenty of family and friends joining to make both days great. I will let the photo’s tell the story.
Thank you everyone that came and helped make mine and the staff Christmas a great one. With NYE just a couple of days away

we have turned our attentions to organizing a great evening for everyone. With a great buffet and the house band ready to rock us all the way through until the early hours of the morning.
So make sure you don’t miss a great and fun NYE down here at the pub.
Well I am worn out trying to get this finished for my sectary to get on the web at midnight

on Monday with all I want to do is climb into to bed and sleep for a week. I think it could be off to the islands again at the end of February for a couple of days on the beach with a good book, but not yet a little bit of work to do before that dream.
Goodnight all and enjoy the rest of the year because the next one is sure to be great.
