Shenanigans The Irish Pub's Diary - Archived
Week of October 11th - 17th, 2005 by Simon Dutton
...Hello
and welcome to another Simon says..
This week
has been in a spin with the Chonburi elections
with the pub unable to sell any booze for
a couple of days. This has turned a few of
our locals and visiting friends into lost
souls. I had one friend come in for a beer
and the football. He had a cup of coffee and
resigned himself to the fact that he had to
return home and spend the evening with his
wife. What has the world come to!!!!!
When
a man on his designated night off after a
long week of working can’t have a drink
to relax and enjoy himself. There are a couple
of hidden agenda’s in those remarks
on my part.
Anyway despite those small inconviences late
in the week we managed to struggle through
and make the best of it. Having a good time
once the amber fluid was flowing again.
The Shenanigans Very Friendly Golf Society
had another out this week with a great turnout
to Green Valley.
I was
pleasantly surprised to find that they have
re-evaluated and changed the course back to
basically the original design which I always
enjoyed more that the previous changes.
With 30 intrepid plays setting forth we were
in for a good time. The wether held out for
a very pleasant round of Pairs Better ball.
Winners were Lee and Phillip
Second Ian and Larry
Near Pins Scott and myself
A great night
of fun was had back at the pub with a few
bevy’s and a trial of some new menu
items. Don’t forget our next outing
on the 25th October. Check the web site of
all events.
Well finally I know I have been talking about
it for weeks but is here. The new menu with
all Chef Sunny’s changes will be ready
and going by the weekend so pop down and try
out the new exciting items we have increased
to. Also check out the web site for adjustments
just to get your mouth watering.
Not much more to report this week hope everyone
had a great week and I will see you all for a
beer soon.
