Shenanigans The Irish Pub's Diary - Archived
Week of August 15th - 21st, 2005 by Simon Dutton
...Hello
everyone and welcome to this weeks Simon says...
Well
considering we are in depths of low season
the pub is firing with loads of new people
and old regulars coming out of the wood work.
It could be the great food, cold beer or all
the live sport you could every want on the
big screen.
We are continually changing down here at the
pub to keep up with what our valued customer
want and need so if you ever have any suggestions
please let myself or one of the staff know.
The ever popular lamb shank
is back
requests, you wanted you got it.
on the weekly special after
multiple If you haven’t tried it you
should.
This week Shenanigans Very Friendly Golf Society
played at Phoenix Golf Course with a great
turnout of 24 players. The format this week
was better ball stableford. Once again my
partner this week is still wishing he had
found someone else as I played to my usual
standard of rubbish.
A great day little bit cooler than normal
so a very comfortable round with the:
Winners:
Lee and Cameron
Second: Jimmy and Tom
Third: Ian and Larry
Next
week on the 30th August we will be playing
at Eastern Star with a 10:30
tee off. So if you feel like a game come down
and enjoy the fun, everyone is welcome no
matter what the standard of play.
Moving
on to this week in sport we had another rugby
disaster on Saturday (Australia with another
defeat). A great crowd supporting both sides.
If you love your rugby the atmosphere down
here at the pub is great. That also goes for
any sport.
We had this week some big games in the premiership,
an exciting F1 race from Turkey,
but next
week we have it all the Ashes kicks off on
Thursday at 4pm, we have some great rugby
some real good football, the MotoGP,and some
great golf with the BMW International Open.
Come on down and enjoy all the things Shenanigans
has to offer great food, great service, and
best of all great live sport.
