...Hello everyone and welcome back to another week of Simon Says..

Where have all the people gone!! I have been out and about a couple of times this week having a look around the town. I am trying to remember a time when I have seen it so quite. I think it is the first time I have ever walked down walking street and not had to dodge people. A couple of tumble weeds and it could have been the main street in an old wild west movie.

But as much as it is quiet around town down here at the pub we are having some great times over this week we have had plenty of different people in to watch the sport. The cricket this week which went down to the wire, we had some great crowds in for with many of them promising to come back next Thursday for the start of the 3rd test.

We have had the start of the pre-season of the premiership football this week with a great lead up to next week with Shenanigans showing 5 live games next week.

Hope to see all you football fans watching on the big screen.

The rugby well what a game. A very close and hard fought game between the Boks and the All Blacks. As much as I would like to see both teams lose the South Africans came out on top ( I support Australia and anyone playing the Kiwi’s). I am looking forward to a great game next week in Australia against the Kiwi’s.

We have changed our Monday night special from the pasta night to a Fisherman’s Basket. I tried one the other day was scrumptious looking forward to another this week.
Shenanigans very friendly golf society played at Burapha this week with a stout 4 groups facing the weather. It looked terrible when I climbed out of bed in the morning with a few thought of climbing back into it with the rain and yet another hangover from visiting friends. It rained all the way to the course but as soon as we got close it stopped and stayed away for a very pleasant round.

Winners on the day with a blistering back 9 was Larry and Ian
Second was Robby and Matt
Third was Ian and Alan

It was big Mark and myself who won the new prize this week for the largest team weighing in at just under 800 lbs (that not each that’s a combined weight). The interesting thing is we shared a cart that made it all the way round the course.

Don’t forget our next action packed outing on the 16th August at Phoenix see our notice boards or the web site.

That’s about it for another week.

See you soon.
